On 10 July 2026, IGrow Wealth Investments Group celebrated 20 years, driven by innovation and service in property investment. We surprised our founder and CEO, Jacques Fouché, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at IGrow’s Cape Town head office, and celebrations at our Midrand office. This milestone brought together colleagues who have helped shape the business and IGrow’s vision in South Africa.

The IGrow 20th anniversary was so much more than just a founding day celebration. It was a moment to reflect on two decades of achievements and to commend the people behind the success. It was also a chance to continue our mission to make property investment more accessible for all South Africans and to inspire our more than 400 staff members across South Africa to carry it forward.

A surprise celebration after two decades in the making

IGrow’s Cape Town team pulled out all the stops to surprise CEO and founder, Jacques Fouché, with the celebration. We all know that Jacques is usually one of the first people to reach the office every morning and one of the last to leave. The exco team managed to arm-wrestle him into attending a meeting away from the office while we decorated the venue and (literally) rolled out the red carpet.

When Jacques returned to the office, the entire staff were gathered to cheer, celebrate and high-five their leader as he cut the ribbon on the new IGrow Head office. The team also gave him a special birthday gift from the IGrow group of companies: tickets for him and his family to the final Rugby World Cup match of 2026.

Both IGrow’s Cape Town and Midrand offices shared pizza, decorated cookies, a hot chocolate station and commemorative gifts for all staff.

The #IGrow20 and #TwentyYearsStrong Facebook social post captured the milestone:

“Two decades in the making. This month we marked 20 years of IGrow with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at our Cape Town head office (red carpet included!) and a celebration at our Johannesburg offices in Midrand — with cookies, hot chocolate, pizza and a commemorative gift for every team member. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey. Here’s to the next 20 years serving South Africa by making property investment more accessible for all!”

Celebrating the People Behind IGrow

The IGrow Wealth Investments anniversary celebrated the people and culture behind the company’s growth over the last 20 years.

Group COO Debbie Sherman, who has worked at the company for over 10 years, opened the occasion. Her inspirational speech highlighted the company’s achievements and goals. She emphasised the importance of positivity, a solutions-oriented mindset, and employing talented individuals driven to serve our clients.

Lezelle Kirsten shared how she joined the business over 16 years ago and how she has grown within the group.

“She had everyone laughing at tales of how the first seminars were held on Jacque’s parents’ garden furniture – hard to picture after years of presenting seminars to hundreds of people in prestigious venues, and building a comprehensive group of companies with over 350 staff, serving many thousands of clients.” (Source: Grow @ IGrow newsletter).

Today, IGrow is a group of companies with over 400 staff members and thousands of clients, showing how far that early vision has come.

A mission seen as bigger than property investment

Jacques spoke about his passion to help more South Africans create wealth and also to add solutions for the country’s housing crisis. His vision is to give people the opportunity to invest in property, create a portfolio of assets and build lasting financial security for themselves and their loved ones.

IGrow has 500,000+ investors, R20bn+ in property sold and 7,000+ rental units under management. IGrow’s journey reflects its growth and the commitment of its expert team.

IGrow’s 20th anniversary celebrates 20 years of property investment in South Africa and highlights how property investing, when viewed as a long-term financial plan, reaps rewards.

For investors, building generational wealth through property creates lasting assets that bring financial security. A recent 702 article highlights how planning for a family’s financial future and creating a lasting legacy is important. It will keep future generations safe. (Source)

Conclusion

The IGrow Wealth Investments anniversary celebrates everyone who has contributed to our journey, from its inception where we are today.

Jacques expanded on his passion, and our company mission is not just to create wealth for more South Africans. It is also to develop solutions to South Africa’s housing crisis.

“We are aiming to make sure as many people as possible have a home to live in, and can invest in property so they have the title deeds to assets that will build wealth for them and their families for years to come. He emphasised how we are all part of something much bigger than ourselves. He quoted his father’s favourite saying, “If your hand is open to give, it is open to receive.” (Source: Grow @ IGrow newsletter).

As IGrow looks forward to its next chapter, the IGrow teams’ commitment stays the same. It is to make property investment more accessible and to help more South Africans build generational wealth through property.

The IGrow 20th anniversary marks two decades of growth and achievements, with many more opportunities to make use of, ahead. Here’s to the staff, partnerships and purpose that will drive IGrow forward for the upcoming 20 years and beyond!
